About Us

"You find me, you lucky." - Leung Sheung

Ken Chung & Wesley Lim
We practice Wing Chun kung-fu in the tradition of Leung Sheung (梁相), most senior disciple of Yip Man. Wing Chun, a martial art that originated in Southern China, is characterised by close-range striking and trapping. It is a demanding, subtle style of self-defense that builds core body strength, develops good posture, and helps to de-stress and clear the mind.

Our instructor, Wesley Lim, is a student of Kenneth Chung, disciple of Leung Sheung. (Kenneth Chung is among the most noted Wing Chun practitioners in the world today. Read about his unique approach to Wing Chun.)

Our style. We adopt a friendly and informal attitude toward training Wing Chun, and adhere to a philosophy of softness and sensitivity as opposed to pure muscular strength or speed. Effectiveness in real situations is nevertheless always at the top of our minds.

In practical terms, our classes are conducted differently from other schools' in that we focus heavily on body structure and sensitivity training rather than high-speed technique drills. Formal sparring only begins at a more advanced stage of learning. See Our Approach to Training for details.

Check us out. Whether you're new to martial arts or already experienced, come visit and train with us at the Environment Building. See our School Details for training times, venue information and fees, and drop us a message via our contact form to let us know you're coming.

'Like' our Facebook page Leung Sheung Wing Chun (Singapore) and stay updated! (Class cancellations are announced there.)

We are part of the Worldwide Leung Sheung Lineage Association.
